Carlos Mario Giraldo Moreno (Chief Executive Officer)
Carlos Mario Giraldo Moreno has been Grupo Exito's Chief Executive Officer since March 2013 when was promoted after 5 years as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Giraldo was the Chief Executive Officer at Industrias Alimenticias Noel and Compañía de Galletas Noel for nearly 10 years. Mr. Giraldo holds a degree in Law from University of Medellin and a Master degree in Law from Tulane University. He also undertook an executive program in Strategic Planning and Management in Retailing at Babson College, in Management at Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and in Marketing at Stanford University. Mr. Giraldo has over 24 years of professional experience in mass consumption, including 13 years at Nutresa (Noel and Zenú). Mr Giraldo was Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANDI (National Business Association of Colombia) between 2003 and 2004. Nowadays, Mr Giraldo is member of the following Board of Directors: ISA S.A., Solla S.A. and Copa Airlines Colombia.
Jacky Yanovich Mizrachi (Chief Operative Retail Officer for Colombia)
He is an International Negotiator from EAFIT University and graduated from the executive program of the Haute École de Commerce (HEC) in France. He has served for 19 years in the company in different positions such as: Store Manager, Director of Éxito, Ley and Pomona Operations, and Manager of the Éxito brand.
José Gabriel Loaiza Herrera (Vice-President of international businesses and digital strategy)
He holds a degree in Engineer Administratration of the Facultad de Minas of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a Master’s degree in International Business from Texas A&M University. He began his career with Grupo Éxito in 1996 as an intern. In 1998 he served in stationery purchases in Cadenalco, in 2001 he became Sales Manager for the Éxito format and in 2003 he worked in Precision Trading Corp. in the United States. In 2006 he returned to Grupo Éxito as Head of the Department of Investor Relations, and then became, in 2008, the Director of Financial Planning. In 2010, he became the Corporate Manager of Entertainment, a position he held until June 30th, 2011, when he was appointed as Commercial Vice-President and of Supply at Grupo Éxito. Today he serves as Vice-President for International Business.
Manfred Heinrich Gartz (Chief Financial Officer)
Manfred is an executive with a wealth of experience in the financial sector; he began his professional career at Grupo Bancolombia 12 years ago, where he had the opportunity to undertake a wide range of responsibilities in project planning, strategy, and strategic management. Afterwards, he held various positions in the office of the Vice President of Corporate Finance, leading projects for mergers, acquisitions, and structured financing in Latin America. Manfred’s most recent role with this institution was as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Investment Bank.
He is a production engineer with an MBA in finance from EAFIT University in Medellin, as well as an MS in finance from Boston College.
Juan Felipe Montoya Calle (Vice-President of Human Resources)
Juan Felipe Montoya Calle has been our Vice-President of Human Resources since 2010 and with us since 1996. Before he assumed his current position, Mr. Montoya served as Operations Officer, as well as District Chief and as a Human Resources Manager. He holds a law degree specializing in labor law and social security from the Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana.
Juan Lucas Vega (Vice-President of Real Estate and Development)
Mr. Vega served as Planning Director in the Real Estate Vice Presidency for over four years. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Antioquia School of Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Finance from New York University. In 2001 he served as Assistant to the President of Galletas Noel Company, in 2006 he joined the Casino Group in France to study international expansion and in 2008 he joined Grupo Exito where he led important expansion projects such as the Cafam-Éxito integration and other growth processes with the opening of several stores through local acquisitions.
Guillaume Seneclauze (Vice-President of Sales and Operations)
Since 2016 he has been part of the company where he has served as Corporate Manager of the Carulla brand. With more than 25 years in the industry, he has extensive retail knowledge in several countries around the world and in different positions. He worked as General Manager of the BIG C company in Vietnam and as Hypermarket Manager of Carrefour in Italy. Among his educational expertise he holds a Master's Degree in Retail from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), one of the most important business schools, and a Master's Degree from the Superior School of Commerce in Paris.
Carlos Ariel Gómez Gutiérrez (Comercial Vice-President)
He's Business Administrator from the University EAN and Publisher of the UPB. He's also a Specialist in Management from the University of Medellin. Has 21 years of experience in the Organization where he has served as Analyst Advertising and Media, Coordinator Promotions and Events for Superlay Chain, Sales Administrator in Business Variety, Manager Business Hardware, Head of Business Activation and Manager Corporate Entertainment. Currently he serves as Commercial Vice-President.
Camilo Reina Ramírez (Vice-President of Marketing and Digital Transformation)
Business Administrator from the Javeriana University and a Master in Marketing from Macquarie University. In recent years he has completed executive studies of Digital Strategy at Harvard and Digital Transformation at Columbia. Before joining the Company, he worked for six years at Google, holding different positions, most recently as Director of Retail Industry, he was also in Copa Airlines as Digital Marketing Manager, at the Publishing House El Tiempo and Harvey Norman in Australia.
Camilo Gallego Ferrer (Vice-President of Éxito Services)
He is a Mechanical Engineer, Specialist in Finance and holds an MBA from the EAFIT University. In his career he has held several management positions, among which are: General Manager of Carvajal Services, Administrative and Financial Director of the Laboratorio Retina, a distributor of equipment and supplies for ophthalmology and optometry; and Director of Financial Planning and CFO in Proquinal. In these roles he has achieved significant financial and labor climate milestones.
Claudia Echavarría Uribe (Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel)
Lawyer of the Pontificia Bolivariana University. Master’s Degree in Law at Columbia University School of Law, New York. Only Colombian recognized as one of the best 100 in-house lawyers in the world, according to Chambers & Partners, the most important publisher in the legal market, covering companies in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Claudia worked at Bancolombia in various positions such as Legal Director for Corporate, Government and International Banking and International Legal and Structuring Manager, she also was Attorney for Corporate and International Affairs. She worked at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP in New York.
Marcela Quintero (Client Manager)
Marcela Quintero holds a Business degree from Universidad Eafit in Medellín. Mrs. Quintero also specialized in Marketing Management from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana also located in Medellín. She joined the company 15 years ago as an intern, after which she held different positions in the commercial area, for 8 years she worked as Carulla´s District Chief for Antioquia, Occidente and Eje Cafetero (colombians regions). Mrs. Quintero was appointed Client Manager.
Gladys Elena Estrada Yepes (Audit Officer)
In 1997 mrs. Estada joined the company as Chief of Operations and Finance Auditory. She is a Public Accountant from the Universidad de Medellín and has a Magister in Administration from the Universidad EAFIT. She is also counts with an accreditation in quality of internal evaluation auditor from the Institute de Auditors of Colombia.
