Circular economy that turns waste into value
We promote circular economy models that encourage the efficient use of resources and the reuse of materials through recycling and waste prevention. Recycling is a key part of this strategy. The materials recovered in our operation return to new production cycles and are also transformed into social impact: we donate 100% of the resources obtained from the management of recyclable material to the Éxito Foundation, supporting child nutrition projects and turning every environmental action into an opportunity for life.

For the fourth consecutive year, several of our shopping centers were recertified by ICONTEC as Zero Waste, thanks to the constant implementation of actions that have allowed us to exceed 65% waste recovery and strengthen an environmental culture among tenants and visitors.
Energy efficiency that reduces our footprint
Faced with the challenges of climate change, we are making progress in energy efficiency, the use of cleaner sources, and the optimization of our operational processes. We implement low-consumption solutions, develop solar power generation projects, and manage our carbon footprint.

For the fourth consecutive year, 13 shopping centers were recertified by ICONTEC as carbon neutral, as a result of optimizing our processes, using cleaner energy, and offsetting emissions, reaffirming our vision of long-term sustainability.
VIVA confirmed its Carbon Neutral and Zero Waste certifications with ICONTEC:
Thirteen Viva shopping centers were recertified as Carbon Neutral.
Viva Envigado, Viva Barranquilla, Viva Palmas, and Viva Ceja were recertified as Zero Waste in the gold category, and Viva Sincelejo in the silver category.
